Traits: This wood features a very light sapwood color and a brownish heartwood. The texture is very fine and is poreless. When cut and exposed to air, the color changes to a lighter, paler tone. It's very durable but it is known to crack when enough pressure is applied. Difficult to work.
Used in: Used in furniture, cabinets, veneer, moulding and flooring.
