Density: Hard/Medium
Traits: Its density differs depending on its point of origin. Mahogany from Cuba is very hard, while the variety fonud in West Africa is much softer. The sapwood is a light brown and the heartwood is a deep, rich reddisg brown. This is a strong, hard wood that does not warp.
Used in: Used in musical instruments and cabinets.
