Dryers are simple creatures. They dry clothes; plain and simple.
New technologies, such as, dry sensors help you save money on
operation since the do a better job of 'sensing' when your
clothes are actually dry, and hence, shut off the machine.
Dryers are divided between gas and electric models. Both do a
good job of drying your clothes, but gas models do so in a more
energy and cost efficient manner.

Gas dryers

If you prefer to pay a little more in the short term to get long lasting savings and performance, gas models are the way to go. The extra cost can be recouped in about a year's time.

Electric dryers

Electric dryers make up fro their more expensive operation costs in variety. For instance, you can only get space-saving models only come in electric varieties. This type is preferred in apartments, especially those found in metropolitan areas, where space is tight.

Consider This If you're going to go the gas model route, make sure you have a gas line that will be close to your model.

Electric models require a 240-volt outlet so make sure you have one available in your laundry space.

Some models offer wrinkle protection, saving you time on your post-laundry chores.
