Density: Hard
Traits: The heartwood of this wood is a reddish brown, which over time darkens. While it is a very hard wood and quite difficult to work, it is flexible and bends well. Care must be taken when drying as this wood tends to warp, but once dry, it is very durable and holds up well indoors or out.
Used in: Used in fine furniture, cabinets and fine carvings and fixtures.
